Resolution Authorizing The Sale Of Real Property
To The State Of South Dakota Department Of Transportation
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brookings, South Dakota as
follows:
WHEREAS, the City is acquiring real property, including the following described real
property:
Lot One (1) in the Northeast Quarter(NE'/4) of the Southeast Quarter(SE'/4)
of Section Eighteen(18), Township One Hundred Ten (110) North, Range
Forty-nine (49) West of the Sth P.M., Brookings County, South Dakota,
except the East Seven Hundred Twenty Feet (E 720') of the South One
Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Feet (S 1,450') and except lots H3 and H4 in
the Southeast Quarter(SE'/4) of said Section.
WHEREAS, the South Dakota Department of Transportation has offered to
purchase the above-described property upon terms which are satisfactory to the City of
Brookings;
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brookings, South Dakota, as follows:
A. That the City convey title to the above-described property to the South
Dakota Department of Transportation; and
B. That the Mayor, City Clerk and City Manager are authorized to
execute the documents required to convey the above-described
property to the State of South Dakota Department of Transportation.
