Brookings City Council
March 4, 2002
The Brookings City Council convened in a planning session on Monday, March 4, 2002 at
5:30 p.m. in the meeting room at City Hall with the following members present: Mayor
Virgil Herriott, Council Members Mike McClemans,Tom Bozied, Keri Weems, Scott
Munsterman, Doris Roden and Sarn Artz. City Manager Michael Williams and City
Attorney Steve Britzman were also present. Mayor Herriott called the meeting to order
5:30 p.m.
The following topics were reviewed by the City Council in open session: Board of
Equalization hearings; Downtown Srookings Inc. progress report; Third B sales tax; City
Boards 2001 Annual Reports; Update Reports on the Hospital Board appointment and
Essential Air Service. No action was taken.
Motion was made by McClemans, seconded by Weems, to enter to enter into Executive
Session regarding future discussions with DM&E with the City Attorney and City Manager
present. All members voted YES; motion canied. Motion was made by Weems, seconded
by Munsterman, to return to regular session. All members voted YES; motion carried.
Motion was made by Bozied seconded by Artz,to adjoum. Meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
