Brookings City Council
August 27, 2002
The Brookings City Council convened in a joint session with representatives of the
Brookings County Commission and Brookings Board of Education at noon on Tuesday,
August 27, 2002, at the Elks with the following members present: Mayor Virgil
Herriott, Council Members Tom Bozied, Doris Roden, Mike McClemans, and Scott
Munsterman. Sam Artz was absent. City Manager Mike Williams and City Attorney
Steve Britzman were also present. Topics of discussion included the 1921 Government
Center, a Tax Increment Finance District near Aurora, "Brookings Day" at the
Legislature, and joint efforts with respect to the Brookings Area MultiPlex. The next
meeting is scheduled for November 26�`at noon with the School hosting. Meeting _
adjourned at 1:10 p.m.
