Brookings City Council
Planning Session
October 29, 2001
The Brookings City Council convened in a planning session on Monday, October 29,
2001 at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall with the following members present: Mayor Virgil Herriott,
Council Members Mike McClemans, Tom Bozied, Keri Weems, Doris Roden, Scott
Munsterman and Sam Artz. City Manager Michael Williams was also present.
The City Council discussed the following issues: Outcomes for Financial Stability and
Governance Policy; revisions to Governance Policies 2.1-2.3; and policies and outcomes
regarding key performance area Number Two, Municipal Services. Motion was made by
McClemans, seconded by Bozied, to broaden the scope of the storm drainage plan to
encompass potential drainage into the future. All present voted yes; motion carried.
Motion was made by Weems, seconded by McClemans, to review how the of availability of
water facilities, sewage facilities, and parks is addressed in the Vision 2020 Comprehensive
Plan for the city of Brookings. All present voted yes; motion carried.
Motion was made by Bozied, seconded by Artz, to adjourn at 7:30 p.m.
