Brookings City Council
February 27, 2001
The Brookings City Council convened in special session on Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at 4:00
p.m. in City Hall with the following members present: Mayor Virgil Hemott, Mike McClemans,
Tom Bozied, Nate Bibby, Keri Weems, Bill Davidson(via telephone) and Sam Artz. City
Manager Michael Williams and City Attorney Steve Britzman were also present.
The City Council discussed modifications to Resolution No. 06-01. The Council adjourned at
6:30 p.m. and reconvened at 9:30 p.m. with a11 members present (Weems and Davidson via
telephone).
Resolution No. 06-01 —B-4A Bvpass Prouosal. Motion was made by Davidson, seconded by
Weems, to approve Resolution 06-01, a resolution recommending approval of the B-4A Bypass to
the Surface Transportation Board. All present voted yes; except Artz; motion carried.
5ubmittal of Bvaass Proposal to the STB. Motion was made by Davidson, seconded by
Herriott, to authorize submittal of the Supplemental Discussion and Impact Assessment of Bypass
Variation at Brookings, South Dakota, and all related documents to the Surface Transportation
Board. All present voted yes; motion carried.
Motion to adjourn was made by Bozied, seconded by Weems. Meeting adjourned at 10:17 p.m.
