Joint City Council/County Commission Meeting.
July 11, 2000 Minutes
The Brookings City Council convened in special session at 12:00 PM at the Staurolite Inn
with the following members present. Mayor Virgil Herriott, Mike McClemans, Tom,
Bozied, and Nate Bibby. City Manager Mike Williams and City Engineer Gregg
Jongeling were present.
Motion was made by McClemans, seconded by Bozied to approve the E911 budget. All
members voted YES; motion carried.
GIS Mapping was discussed. The City and County agreed to move forward in a
partnership to develop this.
1921 Structure was discussed and the County is open for ideas on filling up the second
floor.
Todd Struwe gave a history and update on the new sirens.
Will possibly include the School Board in some future joint meetings.
Meeting was adjourned at 1:05 PM.
