Council Chambers November 12, 1999
City of Brookings
The City Council convened in special session at 4:15 PM with the following members present:
Herriott, McClemans, Bozied, Bibby, Artz, Davidson(via telephone) and Weems.
Al Glover, Attorney was present.
City Manager, A1 Thelen was present.
USED SEATS AND RETRACTABLE RISERS FOR THE MULTIPLEX
DGJD, Inc. Bleachers, Jefferson, CO
Furnish& install used seats—existing risers $ 93,500.00
Furnish all spare parts for one seat $ 5,000.00
Furnish& install retractable risers& 1500 seats complete $187.500.00
TOTAL BID $286,000.00
Motion was made by Artz, seconded by Weems, to take the bid items on MultiPlex chairs
off the table. All members voted YES; motion carried. On the original motion to accept the bid;
all members voted YES, except Bozied voted NO; motion carried.
Motion was made by Artz, seconded by Bibby to reconsider the motion to approve the
contract with the MultiPlex Board. Motion was made by McClemans, seconded by Weems to
table the issue. All members voted YES; motion carried.
