Minutes of the regular meeting held February 9, 1999 were read and approved. Motion was made by Plumart, seconded by Artz approving the bills and claims. Motion was made by Klavetter, seconded by Artz approving Resolution 10-99 annexing Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 27, 28, and 30 of Block 1, Esther Heights Addition. All members voted YES; motion carried. RESOLUTION NO. 10-99 ' RESOLUTION OF ANNEXATION WHEREAS, the governing body of the CITY OF BROOKINGS has,pursuant to SDCL 9-4- 4.1, conducted a study to determine the need for contiguous territory and to identify the resources necessary to extend the municipal boundaries to include Lots 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,27,28 and 30 of Block 1, Esther Heights Addition in the NE '/4 of the NE '/a of Section 3, T109N, RSOW a11 in the County of Brookings, State of South Dakota, and WHEREAS,the governing body thereafter adopted a Resolution of Intent to Extend Boundaries and conducted a hearing thereon as required by law, and WHEREAS, it is determined to be necessary and in the best interests of the CITY OF BROOKINGS to annex the hereinbefore described property,now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the governing body of the CITY OF BROOKINGS that the following described property be, and the same is hereby annexed to the CITY OF BROOKINGS, to-wit: 087 Lots 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,27,28 and 30 of Block 1, Esther Heights Addition in the NE %4 of the NE '/4 of Section 3, T109N, RSOW all in the County of Brookings, State of South Dakota. BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED that the boundaries of the CITY OF BROOKINGS shall be adjusted accordingly. Motion was made by Plumart, seconded by Murra approving the appointment of Don Kruse to the Brookings Weed and Pest Board. All members voted YES; motion carried. Motion was made by Artz, seconded by Plumart approving Resolution 13-99 STP-Urban System Priority List. All members voted YES; motion carried. RESOLUTION NO. 13-99 STP-URBAN SYSTEM PRIORITY LIST WHEREAS, the City of Brookings has designated certain streets to be included in the STP- Urban System of Streets as defined by the SDDOT; and WHEREAS, the SDDOT has designated certain funds, Federal and State to be used for construction, reconstruction and major repair of the STP-Urban System Streets; and WHEREAS, the City of Brookings has been requested to establish a priority list of projects to be considered for funding by the SDDOT; NOW, THEREFORE,the City of Brookings hereby resolves that the following projects be considered in the order listed: Priority Bid Type of Length Cost No. Project Location Year Work (mi.) 1. 22nd Ave.from 9th St. 2000 to l lth St.So. Motion was made by Murra,seconded by Klavetter approving a going out of business license for Jackson's Jewelry located at 415 Main Avenue. All members voted YES; motion carried. Motion was made by Plumart, seconded by Murra moving into executive session for contractual reasons. All members voted YES;motion carried.
