Minutes of the regular meeting held January 5, 1999 were read and approved. Motion was made by Artz, seconded by Plumart approving the bills and claims. Motion was made by Murra, seconded by Klavetter approving the agenda. Motion was made by Klavetter, seconded by Plumart approving the first reading of Ordinance No. 1-99 rezoning Lot E of Lot 4 and the east 147' of Lot 4, Block 1, Skinners Third Addition from a residence R-2 district to an industrial I-1 district(located at the NW corner on the intersection of 2nd Street South and Medary Avenue). All members voted YES; motion carried. 074 ORDINANCE NO. 1-99 AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE THE ZONING WITHIN THE CITY OF BROOKINGS Motion was made by Artz, seconded by Murra approving Resolution No.6-99 approving a final plat of Lot A and Lot B of County Highway First Addit�on. Motion was made by Klavetter, seconded by Plumart to amend original motion by adding "provided easements for existing electrical and sanitary sewer services are included on Lot A and Lot H-3." All members voted YES on the amendment. All members voted YES on original motion as amended; motion carried. RESOLUTION NO. 6-99 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA: WHEREAS, Brookings County, South Dakota, owner of the hereinafter described real property, has submitted to the governing board a proposed plat of the following described real estate situated in the City of Brookings in the State of South Dakota to wit: "Lot A and Lot B of the County Highway First Addition to the Municipality of Brookings, Brookings County, South Dakota", and the Board of City Commissioners of said City having examined the proposed plat and it appearing that all municipal taxes and special assessments if any, upon said plat and survey,have been executed according to law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said plat and survey by and are hereby in all things accepted and approved. All members voted YES; motion carried. RESOLUTION NO. 7-99 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING CERTAIN APPLICATION FEES TO THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA. All members voted YES; motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 2-99 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE REVISED CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS PERTAINING TO LEASED DWELLING UNITS Motion was made by Klavetter, seconded by Plumart approving the first reading of Ordinance No. 3-99 amending the revised code of ordinances of the City of Brookings pertaining to advertising and signs. All members voted YES; motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 3-99 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE REVISED CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS PERTAINING TO ADVERTISING AND SIGNS. Motion was made by Klavetter, seconded by Plumart approving the first reading of Ordinance No. 4-99 amending the revised code of ordinances of the City of Brookings pertaining to going-out-of- business sales. All members voted YES; motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 4-99 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE REVISED CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS PERTAINING TO GOING-OUT-OF-BUSINESS SALES. Motion was made by Murra, seconded by Artz approving authorization to advertise for bids for fuel for City owned vehicles. All members voted YES; motion carried. Motion was made by Plumart, seconded by Murra moving into executive session for personnel reasons. All members voted YES; motion carried.
