Brookings City Council
January 20, 2004
The Brookings City Council convened in a special meeting on Tuesday, lanuary 20, 2004, at 8:00
a.m. in the Swiftel Ceriter with the following members present: Mayor Scott Munsterman, Counctl
Members Tim Reed, Tom Bezdichek, Julie Whaley, Tom Bozied, Mike McClemans, and Doris
Roden. Barbara Forinash, Facilitator, Ir�terim City Manager Allyn Frerichs,and City Cierk Shari
Thornes were also preserrt.
Goal Setting_ The Council iderrtified key issues for 2004 and dtscussed goals and obj�ctives. No
action was taken.
City Manager Housin,g. Alan Lanning made a request to purchase a home outside city limits.
According to the City Charter, City Council cpproval is needed to live outside the city. A motion
was made by Bezdichek,seconded by Bozied,that the Ctty Manager reside within the city limits of
Brookings. All preser�t voted yes; except Whaley voted no, motion carried.
Adjournment. A motion was made by Bozied, seconded by Roden,to adjourn at 4:40 p.m. All
preserrt voted yes; motion carried.
