The Brookin�s City Council convened in a special budget meeting at 1:20 p.m., Thursday, September 5,
2002, at the Research and Technology Center with the following members present: Mayor Virgil Herriott,
Council Members Tom Bozied, Doris Roden, Scott Munsterman and Mike McClemans. Council Members
Sam Artz was absent. City Manager Mike Williams and City Attorney Steve Britzman were also present.
Executive Session. A motion was made by Roden, seconded by Herriott, to enter executive session for
contractual matters with the following members present in addition to the Council: Mike Williams, City
Manager; Steve Britzman, City Attorney; Shari Thornes, City Clerk; and Dick Smith, Economic
Development Director. All present voted yes; motion carried. A motion was made by Munsterman,
seconded by Herriott, to leave executive session. All present voted yes; motion carried. No further action
was taken.
2003 Bud�et. A rnotion was made by Bozied, seconded by Munsterman, not fund the $400,000 fire truck
in the 2003 budget and to put the money into the buildin�fund and the balance of the 25% second penny
money in the truck fund. All voted yes; except Herriott and Roden; motion carried.
A motion was made by Munsterman, seconded by Bozied, to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 2:04 p.m.
