Mission Statement

3. Consent Agenda Items:
A. Adoption of the agenda.
B. Approval of the January 28, 2002 minutes.
C. Approval of the February 4, 2002 minutes.
Action: Motion to approve consent agenda – Roll Call
4. SDSU Representative Report.
5. Invitation for a citizen to schedule time on the Council agenda for an issue not listed.
Addressing the Council: Persons addressing the Council shall use the microphone at the podium. Please state your name and
address. Presentations are limited to 5 minutes.
Meeting Assistance: If you require assistance, alternative formats and/or accessible locations consistent with the Americans
with Disabilities Act, please contact the City ADA Coordinator at 692-6281 at least 3 working days prior to the meeting.
Council Meetings: City Council action meetings are held the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 5:30 p.m. and
City Council planning sessions are held the first and third Mondays each month at 5:30 p.m.
Materials for Council: Please provide 10 copies of any handouts for the Council. Copies must be provided to the City
Council, City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk.

PUBLIC HEARINGS/ORDINANCES:
6. Introduction And First Reading On Ordinance 02-02, an Ordinance Entitled “An Ordinance
Supplementing The Annual Appropriation Ordinance As Made For The Year 2002 By
Ordinance No. 14-01 And For The Purpose Of Providing For Additional Funds For The
Operation Of The City”, And Declaring An Emergency.
Action: Motion to Approve first reading – Roll Call
OTHER BUSINESS:
7. A request for an abatement has been received from Marjorie Tribuzi, for 1319 Wahpeton
Pass, Lot 8, Wahpeton Village, for a portion of the 2001 property taxes in the amount of
$1,091.09. The County Assessor recommends against approval (deferred from the 1/28/02
meeting).
Action: Motion to approve – Roll Call
8. Action on a preliminary plat for Lots 1-17, Block 8; Lots 1-29, Block 9, Lots 1-25, Block 10,
and Lots 1-20, Block 11, Moriarty Fourth Addition.

9. Action on the Vision 2020 Comprehensive Plan for the City of Brookings.

10. Discussion regarding Brookings Municipal Liquor Store.
