An Ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Brookings and pertaining to Off-
Street Parking Requirements for the purposes of Administration of the Zoning Ordinance.
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Brookings, State of South Dakota:that Chapter
94,Zoning,shall be amended as follows:
Section 1.
Sec. 94-1. Definitions
Dwellinq, efficiencv: A small apartment consistin�of a combined room for livin�and sleepin�
purposes, a bathroom and a kitchenette.
Section 2.
DIVISION 4.—PARKING, STACKING,AND LOADING
Sec. 94-433.(c) (2)Apartment buildinq or unit qroup of buildinqs containinq not more than 24
units: Two spaces for each dwelling unit plus one space for each bedroom in excess of one
bedroom in each dwelling unit, exclusive of garages.
Sec. 94-433.(c) (2) b. Apartment buildina or unit proup of buildinqs containinq more than 24
units: The minimum parkin�spaces required, exclusive of�ara�es, are as follows:
a. 1.5 spaces for an efficiencv or one bedroom dwellin� unit
b. 2.25 spaces for a two bedroom dwellin�unit
c. 3.25 spaces for a three bedroom dwellin� unit
d. one space for each bedroom in a dwellin�unit containin�4 or more bedrooms
Exception. An attached �ara�e that is an integral part of the dwelling unit shall be
counted for purposes of ineeting the parkin�requirements.
Section 3.
Any or all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
