Brookings City Council
November 19, 2013
The Brookings City Council held a study session on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 5:00 p.m., at
City Hall with the following members present: Mayor Tim Reed, Council Members Jaei Thorpe,
John Kubal, Mike McClemans, Tom Bezdichek, Ope Niemeyer and Keith Corbett. City Attorney
Steve Britzman, City Manager Jeff Weldon and Administrative Assistant Laurie Carruthers were
also present.
Discussion topics: Urban Chickens, Federal Issue of Bank Franchise Fee Exemption for Credit
Unions and Farm Credit Services, Brookings Health Systems Quarterly Financial Report and
General Discussion and City Counci) Ex-Officio Reports.
Federat lssue of Bank Franchise Fee Exemption for Credit Unions and Farm Credit Services. A
motion was made by Bezdichek, seconded by Corbett,to review the proposed resolutions at
the December 10, 2013 Council Meeting. Ali present voted yes, except Thorpe voted no;
motion carried.
Adiourn. A motion was made by Kubal, seconded by Corbett,to adjourn. All present voted
yes; motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:39 �.m.
