An Ordinance amending Article II of Chapter 22 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Brookings and pertaining to the 2009 Building Code with Certain Amendments Thereto.
Be It Ordained by the City of Brookings that Article It of Chapter 22 of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Brookings be amended to read as follows:
I.
Article II. Building Code
Sec. 22-36. Amendments.
The following amendments to the building code are adopted and incorporated into the building
code:
Section 1029.1 General, under Section 1029 Emergency Escape and Rescue is amended by
adding the following exception:
Exception:
1.) In Group R-loccupancies of other than Type V construction, buildings that
are equipped throughout with an approved automatic sprinkler system in
accordance with Section 903.3.1.1 or 903.3.1.2
II.
Any or all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
