Resolution Authorizing the Execution of Real Estate Purchase Agreement
Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Brookings, South Dakota as follows:
Whereas,the City of Brookings desires to purchase the following described property:
Sublot"A"of Outlot One (1) in the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter
(SWl NW'/4) of Section Twenty-seven(27), Township One Hundred Ten(110)
North, Range Fifty(50) West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, County of
Brookings, State of South Dakota, and
Whereas, the property has been offered for sale and the City of Brookings has received a
proposed Purchase Agreement,the terms of which are satisfactory to the City of
Brookings;
Now Therefore, It Is Hereby Resolved by the City Council of the City of Brookings, South
Dakota, as follows:
A. That the City acquire title to the above-described property pursuant to a
Purchase Agreement with Randy Pitts and Brenda Pitts, for future land use
needs of the City of Brookings, South Dakota; and
B. That the Mayor, City Clerk and City Manager are authorized to execute the
documents required to complete this transaction in accordance with this
Resolution.
Passed and approved on the 8th day of December, 2009.
