Home My WebLink AboutResolution 063-2010 Revised Resolution No. 63-10 Resolution Awarding Bids on Airport Wildlife Fence Project Brookings Regional Airport AI P# 3-46-0005-023-2010 Whereas, the City of Brookings held a bid letting on June 8, 2010; and Whereas, the City of Brookings received the following bids for the Airport Wildlife Fence Project AIP# 3-46-0005-023-2010: Shaun Jensen Construction, Inc., Brookings, SD $248,587.96 American Fence Company, Inc., Sioux Falls, SD $289,435.96 Michaels Fence and Supply, Sioux Falls, SD $310,912.68 Custom Fence Company, Logan, UT $338,934.05 Whereas, the low bid of Shaun Jensen Construction, Inc., Brookings, SD in the amount of $248,587.96 did not meet the intent of the project specifications with regards to the "Minority Business Enterprise Provisions" and did not include "Good Faith Effort" documentation. Now Therefore, Be It Resolved to make the tentative award of AIP Project#3-46-0005-023- 2010 for the Airport Wildlife Fence Project to American Fence Company, Inc., Sioux Falls, SD in the amount of$289,435.96 pending receipt of Federal Aviation Administration grant offer. Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign all documents related to a Grant Agreement for the Federal Aviation Administration Grant AIP Project No. 3- 46-0005-23-2010, upon receipt of the grant offer. Passed and approved this 22nd day of June 2010.
