AN ORDINANCE REVISING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF BROOKINGS PERTAINING TO ANIMAL HOSPITALS AND KENNELS AS
CONDITIONAL USES IN THE AGRICULTURAL A DISTRICT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF
BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA, THAT ARTICLES IV AND VII OF CHAPTER
50, THE 1994 REVISED ZONING ORDINANCE SHALL BE AMENDED, AS
FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:

Section 50.05.000 AGRICULTURAL A DISTRICT
Section 50.05.050
Conditional Uses.
7. Animal Hospital
8. Kennel
II.
Section 50.90.100 ADDITIONAL CONDITIONAL USE REGULATIONS
50.90.158
Animal Hospital: This use shall not be located in an area where it could have a negative
impact on adjacent properties due to its size, noise or the traffic generated from such
use. The parking area shall be designed to have a minimal impact on the surrounding
residential properties.
All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
