AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE
ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AS MADE FOR THE YEAR 2000 BY
ORDINANCE NO. 25-99 and ORDINANCE NO. 5-00 AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF THE CITY", AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. WHEREAS, by the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for the year 2000,
Ordinance No. 25-96 and Ordinance No. 5-00 appropriating revenue for the operation of the
municipal government for the year 2000, sufficient expenditures and revenues were not
provided to enable the municipality to conduct the indispensable functions of the government of
said City.
Section 2. THERE IS HEREBY appropriated for the purpose of maintaining and
operating the City of Brookings, additional sums for the following funds:
Ice Rink Fund 509
Revenue- Private Contributions 900,000
Public Improvement(sales tax) 200,000
Expense constructing the Ice Rink Facility— 1,100,000
Multiplex Phase I Fund 506
Revenue—Cash Carry Over 390,920.00
Expense—Capital Expense 390,920.00
Section 3. ALL ORDINANCES or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
Section 4. AN EMERGENCY is hereby declared and this Ordinance is declared to be
for the support of the municipal government and its existing public institutions and it shall be in
full force and effect after its passage and publication.
