AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-59 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA AND PERTAINING TO THE
PURPOSES FOR WHICH SALES TAX ON LODGINGS AND ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
MAY BE USED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA.
BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BROOKINGS, STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA, AS FOLLOWS:
I. Brookings Ordinance Sec. 2-59, Section 6 (B) is amended as follows:
Sec.2-59. Sales and service tax; use tax.
Section 6. Use of Revenue.
(B) Purposes for which the Additional Tax on Lodgings and Alcoholic Beverages may
be used.
Any revenue received under Section Four(4) in excess of the amount which would
have been received if the rate established in Section Four (4) were the same as the
rate established in Section Two (2)may be used only for the purposes as defined and
set forth in SDCL 10-52-8.
II.
Any or all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
