BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA: Whereas,the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for the year 2004 will be impacted by ordinance 49-03 designating the use of a portion of the 75% of the revenues from the 1%of municipal sales tax and service and use tax and resolution 68-03 declaring an official intent to use of a portion of the 75%of the revenues from the 1%of municipal sales tax and service and use tax to supplement other funds for construction improvements to the Swiftel Center Site and resolution 02-04 declaring an official intent to use a portion of the 75%of the revenues from the 1%of municipal sales tax and service and use tax to supplement other funds for purchase and renovation of a building for a multipurpose senior citizen center: Whereas,The City Manager has indicated that there are critical needs within the general fund for equipment and capital improvements;and Whereas,The Council has declared their official intent to supplement other funding for improvements to the city-owned Swiftel Center site; and Whereas, The Council has declared their official intent to supplement other funding for the purchase and renovating of a building for a multipurpose senior citizen center;Now Therefore, THE 2004 BUDGET IS HEREBY AMENDED as indicated below: Budget Amendment#1,2004 Budget 25%2nd Penny Fund Account#288 Expenditure Description Change Landfill (equipment lease) 1,000 Parks (special assessments) 11,000 Fire(truck) 35,000 Chan,a 47,000 75%2"d Penny Fund Account#286 Expenditure Description Change Senior Citizen Center (400,000) Critical Capital Improvement City Clerk-Computers 3,000 Finance-Main Printer 5,000 Streets-Street Sweeper 121,500 Parks-Turf Equipment 15,000 Library-Public Computers 3,000 Swiftel Capital Improvements 70,000 Change (182,500) This Ordinance is declared to be for the support of the municipal government and its existing public institutions and it shall be in full force and effect after its passage and publication.
