AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE IV STREETS, SIDEWALKS AND
OTHER PUBLIC PLACES OF THE CODE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
BROOKINGS PERTAINING TO EXCAVATIONS WITH CERTAIN AMENDMENTS
THERETO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS THAT ARTICLE IV OF
CHAPTER 74 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS BE
AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
I.
Section 74-146 Excavator's Responsibility
The excavator shall leave the site clear of all excess dirt and any debris as a result of the
excavation. The excavator shall be responsible for maintaining the excavation for a period of five
years after the patch has been made.
