HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 35-2007 Ordinance No. 35-07 An Ordinance to Change the Zoning within the City of Brookings Be it ordained by the governing body of the City of Brookings, South Dakota, that shall be amended as follows Section I. That the real estate situated in the City of Brookings, County of Brookings, State of South Dakota, described as follows: Block 2, Nelson Fourth Addition excluding Lot I and the SWI/4 of Section 36- T I I ON-R5OW excluding the SE I/4 and excluding the remaining platted areas thereof be and the same is hereby rezoned and reclassified from an Agricultural A District to a Residence R-3 District and B-2A and B-2 Business Districts. In accordance with Section 94.7 of Article I of Ordinance 25-02 of the Code of Ordinances of Brookings, South Dakota, as said districts are more fully set forth and described in Articles III and IV of Ordinance No. 25-02 of the City of Brookings, South Dakota. Section 2. The permitted use of the property heretofore described be and the same is hereby altered and changed in accordance herewith pursuant to said Ordinance No. 25- 02 of the City of Brookings, South Dakota. Section 3. All sections and ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Currently our property is zoned R2.This means that the R2 zoning of our property and the new R3 zoned area will meet at the property line on the southern side of our property. In other words,there is not a buffer between the two different zonings. Because of the lack of a buffer between the proposed zoned area and our property,we respectfully request the Brookings City Council amend Ordinance No.35-07 so that the area north of Fifteenth Street South and west of Christine Avenue be zoned R2.
