An Ordinance Entitled "An Ordinance Authorizing A Supplemental Appropriation To The 2007
Budget For The Purpose Of Providing For Additional Funds For The Operation Of The City.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA:
WHEREAS, The Council passed resolution 16-07 authorizing an agreement for acquisition of real
property and storm water drainage improvements in the Timberline Addition,
AND WHEREAS,The Council passed resolution 39-07 awarding bids on the 32nd Avenue&Prince
Drive Street Project,
AND WHEREAS,The Council passed resolution 44-07 awarding bids on the Indian Hills Drainage
Project,
AND WHEREAS,The City Manager requested additional professional services with the Ramsay
case,
AND WHEREAS, The Council approved proceeding with the City Manager search,
AND WHEREAS,The City Manager certifies there are sufficient unencumbered balances in the
Industrial Park Fund and the Storm Drainage Fund,
AND WHEREAS THE CITY CHARTER allows that if the City Manager certifies that there are
sufficient unencumbered balances in the Fund and are available for appropriation, the City Council
by ordinance may make supplemental appropriations for the year up to the amount of
unencumbered balances. This Ordinance is declared to be for the support of the municipal
government and its existing public institutions and it shall be in full force and effect after its passage
and publication.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL that the City Manager be
authorized to make the following budget adjustments to the 2007 budget:
