An ordinance revising the Zoning Ordinance of the Joint Jurisdiction Area surrounding the
City of Brookings pertaining to an Agriculture Research Facility in the Agricultural A District
Be it ordained by the City of Brookings, South Dakota that Article II and IV of Ordinance
14-80 be amended to read as follows, to wit:
Article II. Section 200. Word definitions
Definitions
Ag Research Facility—a building where experimentation is undertaken for the collection of
information associated with agronomy (Field crop production and soil management).This term does
not include any animal research.
Article IV. Agricultural,Residential, Floodplain and Aquifer Districts
Section 404 Aquifer District
Section 404.2a.1 e. Ag Research Facility
Section 405 Agricultural District A
Section 407 Permitted uses
Section 407.7 Ag Research Facility
Any or all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
