AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SUPPLEMENTAL
APPROPRIATION TO THE 2008 BUDGET FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR
ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF THE CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA:
WHEREAS,there is a need to adjust the budget to respond to the actual revenues and expenditures
in fiscal year 2008, and
AND WHEREAS THE CITY CHARTER allows that"if during the fiscal year the City Manager certifies that
there are available for appropriation revenues in excess of those estimated in the budget,the City Council by
ordinance may make supplemental appropriations for the year up to the amount of such excess". This
Ordinance is declared to be for the support of the municipal government and its existing public institutions and
it shall be in full force and effect after its passage and publication.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL that the City Manager is authorized to
make the following budget adjustments to the 2008 budget:
