AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 86-43 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA AND
PERTAINING TO THE DESIGNATION OF A COUNCIL MEMBER TO ATTEND
MEETINGS OF THE UTILITY BOARD IN THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH
DAKOTA.
BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BROOKINGS, STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA, AS FOLLOWS:
I.
Sec. 86-43. Council member to attend meetings.
The mayor, with the advice and consent of city council, may appoint up to two
members of the city council, or shall designate the city manager,to attend meetings of the
utility board so that the council may at all times be fully advised of the proceedings of the
utility board. The city council members so designated shall not be counted for purposes
of determination of a quorum and shall not be entitled to vote or take any official action
on matters before the utility board.
II.
Any or all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
