An Ordinance Amending Chapter 82 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Brookings and Pertaining to Stopping, Standing, and Parking of
Vehicles on the Street.
Be It Ordained and Enacted by the Council of the City of Brookings, State of South Dakota, as
follows:
ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL
Sec. 82-1. Definitions
Driveway means the surfaced portion of the boulevard between the roadway curb, or
edge of the roadway, and the sidewalk or property line, that is intended to provide
access to the abutting public or private property.
II.
ARTICLE VI. STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING
Sec. 82-427. Places where standing and parking prohibited; exception to discharge passengers.
(I) In front of a public or private driveway nor closer than five (5) feet on either side of
a driveway measured from the edge of the driveway at the curb line or edge of the
roadway.
Any or all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
