i. Up coming Disability Week:
1. Middle school: Made videos that will be played in homerooms
2. Dakota Prairie: Continuing with her disability week with various
activities that highlight the impact of various disabilities on
individuals
3. Oncore in elementary school: will be doing various events
4. Medary: made coffee cup holders available at Choco Latte.
5. High School will be doing various events in Adaptive PE
6. Each Building has sensory spaces available.
7. Transition program: looking for various businesses willing to
support Project search in hiring or interning students.
6) Speaker: Heather Asmussen
a. Owner and operator of ________; which is an ABA_________ located in
Brookings.
b. Received grant in which she will be using towards purchasing books to help
support and educate parents of the students/kids she supports.
7) Access Issues
a. Voting in Brookings
i. Continue to monitor changes in voting and any restrictions these changes
may impact disabled individuals

i. Proclamation at City Hall Meeting on Tuesday March 24, 2026 at 6:00pm
