The Brookings Airport Board was called to order by President Brady Klocker on
Thursday, December it 2025 at 3:30 PM in Conference Room #241, Second Floor.
Members present were Lynn Riedesel, Isaac Wilde and Klocker. Absent were Brian
VanLiere and Dan Krogstad. Also present were Airport Manager Lucas Dahl, Airport
Maintenance Technician Brett Torgrude, SDSU- Devon Bastmeyer, and City Clerk
Bonnie Foster.

item f3a - (Wilde/Riedesel) Motion to approve the November 20, 2025 minutes. All
present voted aye. MOTION CARRIED.
Item #4 - Review of SD Open Meetings Laws - Presentation was provided by City
Clerk Bonnie Foster.
Item #5 - Airport Manager's Report -
Staff recently had a phone conference with Heim's regarding size, price and
location of the new SRE Building. Helm's will provide us with an estimate
sometime the first or second week of January. They will work through all of tht
options for size and amenities for this building.
There is some hay land west of the airport that the airport will receive revenue
off of. This will result in just over $10,000.00 revenue annually. Lease is wif h
David Berndt for 2026. There will also be an option for 2 additional 1 -year
extensions.
Snow events have all been easy to deal with, no real issues. Staff would like
pilots to give them advanced notice if f hey need to land at f he airport during
a snow event. This will allow staff plenty of time to clear snow if necessary.
Airport Consultant Selection has been complete. Helms and Associates was
the only firm to submit a quote.

semester. They actually have had more flying this year than last year but some
operations are at of her airports. They just hired 8 new C Us.

Item #10 - Airport Consultant Selection -
(Klocker/Wilde) Motion to approve Helms and Associates as or our Engineering
Services Airport Consultants for 2026-2031. All present voted aye. MOTION CARRIED.
Item #11 - Election of Officers -.(Riedesel/Wilde) Motion to keep Klocker as President
and VanLiere as Vice -President. All present voted aye. MOTION CARRIED.
