Representing the City: Jacob Meshke, Representing the Public: Lawrence Novotny, guest: Mike Struck Absent: Mike Lockrem, Ben Vukovich, Darcy Green Approval of Agenda: Norman Miller moved and seconded by Robin Buterbaugh (approved). Approval of Minutes: Louis Hesler moved and seconded by Norma Miller (approved). Report by Jacob Meshke: Landfill director retirement, Covid-19 mask status & county POD activity. Sustainable City Growth Initiative: Mike Stuck, City Development. -Two-way access for development road access -Buffer yard between zoning lines -5 ft. landscaping strips -15th and 17th Ave development activity Subcommittee Updates: 1. Marketing and Communication: a. Hesler discussed changing the name of the group to Education and Outreach. 2. Waste: Need for new subcommittee chair. 3. Energy: a. Norman/Betty discussed April speaker from SDSU and communication with BMU on electric car event and solar project. 4. Local foods: a. Robin discussed Farmers Market, the Food Co-op, community gardens. Updates from Liaisons: a. Bicycle committee: has send out community survey. b. Human Rights Commission: application by Jennifer to have Liaison from this committee on the HRC. c. CLEAR: Betty discussed the group and evaluating “Lighting” improvement areas and resilient community.
