Advisory Board Meeting Minutes
Friday, January 28, 2022 @ Noon
Virtual Meeting
Present: Teri Ronning; Nick Schmeichel; Laura Schoen Carbonneau; Alex Parker; Jeff Holm; Bill Retterath
Mike Logan, Swiftel Center General Manager; Erick Rangel City of Brookings
Agenda Discussions:
➢ Jeff called the meeting to order.
➢ November minutes were approved.
➢ Mike introduced new members Alex Parker and Bill Retterath to the rest of the board. We also
discussed increasing the amount of board members. The discussion ended and it was decided to
revisit mid-year.
➢ Mike reported on Oak View Groups vaccine mandate. He also reported that Oak View was
conducting a leadership conference in February at the Pollstar Conference.
➢ Mike reported on new staff that joined the team (Emma Whitlock – EC) and staff that will be joining
the team (Mary Jo Eisenbeisz – DOE & Lisa Robinson DOF). He also provided an update on hiring
efforts for Operations.
➢ Mike provided the board with an update on corporate support closing financials. He also provided a
closing timeline and reported 3rd quarter financials.
➢ Mike reported on current events and upcoming events. Mike also reported on the 2022 outlook and
impacts COVID-19 is still having on the events industry.
➢ Next meeting is scheduled for Thursday March 24th, 2022 at 12:00pm.
➢ Jeff adjourned the meeting.
