1. The meeting was called to order at 12:02pm
2. Approval of Agenda
A motion to approve the agenda with the addition of discussion of downtown signs, was
made by , seconded by Ali. The motion carried by the following votes:

3. Approval of minutes
A motion to approve the minutes was made by Ramona, seconded by Matt. The motion
carried by the following votes:
- Yes: Ramona, Matt, Ali, Aysia, Rachel, Jen, Ari, Carrie, Mark
- No: none
4. Budget Update
- $3,000
-No 2025 dollars have been spent
5. Officer Updates:
a. Chair
- Received email from Shelly Bayer @ SDSU “A Ride Ahead” Mark will forward email
to group about the event.
- PBS the American experience is doing a story on ADA
b. Vice Chair

d. Publicity coordinator
-Park and Rec has added a sensory friendly time at the pool for the 2025 summer.
-ASL classes are very successful. Discussion of offering another level one class in the fall.
Anyone wanting to take Level 2 class would be able to do so through SDDROP directly at
their own cost

g. School Liaison
-Disability Awareness Week at the School brought lots of activities.
-Hoping to invite the Neurodivergence Alliance into the school to help bring
opportunities to the community/students
-Sensory Friendly Dance occurred at the High School with much success.
-Adaptive PE family Night was well received
-Moving Forward with a Life Skills Lab in the Middle School
-Dance and Life Skills lab both received funding from BDAC

- Possible Parks and Rec Liaison
- More than happy to be present at a meeting if there is anything we would like to share
or if there is anything going on with park and rec.

6. Work Plan Item:
a. Global Digital Access Awareness Month Proclamation
A motion to approve the Proclamation was made by Ramona, seconded by Carrie. The
motion carried by the following votes:
- Yes: Ramona, Matt, Ali, Aysia, Rachel, Jen, Ari, Carrie, Mark
- No: none
7. Events/Publicity Discussion (Social Media Campaign)
a. In regards to brochures and merch to hand out, email any ideas to Lynda prior to next
meeting. Discussion of brochures including QR code/Links to resources
b. Speaker on disabilities: Billie Sutton
I. Shelly Bayer with Multicultural Affairs and Accessibility at SDSU. They are
willing to fund the speaker fee and assist in organizing.
c. Share info about action proposals from the community Organization -facing side of
the listening sessions

8. Next meeting is April 24th at 12:00PM, hybrid format.
-May meeting date and time will be determined at the next meeting.
-Discussion for moving day and time of regular meetings tabled until June
