The Brookings Airport Board was called to order by Brady Klocker on Thursday,
January 16, 2025 at 3:35 PM in Conference Room #241, Second Floor. Members
present were Dan Krogstad, Brian VanLiere, Isaac Wilde, and Klocker. Riedesel was
absent. Also present was Airport Manager Lucas Dahl and Airport Maintenance
Technician Brett Torgrude.

Item #2 - (Krogstad/VanLiere) Motion to approve the agenda. All present voted aye.
MOTION CARRIED.
Item #3 - (VanLiere/Krogstad) Motion to approve the December 19, 2024 minutes. All
present voted aye. MOTION CARRIED.
Item #4 - Airport Manager's Report - Dahl stated that operations for the month of
December were down. Operations for 2024 were reported on. Fuel sales for 2024
were up from 2023. Dahl also reported that the running balance of our fuel flowage
fee account with SDDOT is at approximately $26,000.00. The hay land went to bid on
January 7th. Two bidders with the high bidder being Cole Hauge at $120.50. The
lease will go in front of the City Council on January 28th for review and approval. The
Civil Air Patrol lease for the terminal was approved at the City Council meeting for 5
years. The 2025 Airport Conference is in Deadwood on April 2nd and 3rd. Room
reservations have been made and registrations will be sent in by Lana.
Dahl reported that there has been some interest in building of new hangars. He will
continue the conversation with the potential builders and will keep the board
informed. Dahl will be discussing the CIP for the Airport with Helms and Associates
and will discuss future growth.

semester just started.
