1.The meeting was called to order at 12:02 PM
2.Approval of Agenda
A motion to approve the agenda with the addition of discussion of downtown signs,was
made by Ramona,seconded by Lynda.The motion carried by the following votes:

3.Approval of minutes
A motion to approve the minutes was made by Ramona,seconded by Matt.The motion
carried by the following votes:

4.Budget Update
-$1000 carried for communication board transferred to P&R
-$400 cookies for Dowtown event

-$1907 left after $1000 allotted to sign class

6.Speaker Keena Melville SDSU
Presented on her work with SDSU students that have autism.
Lucas P.Wintrode Autism Support Services
Keena discussed the program and recent studies confirming the importance of support
for individuals with autism in higher education.
●1:1 coaching
●Peer mentors
●Life skills (nutrition,cooking,hygiene)
●Guide students to relevant resources
●Building community and belonging with events
●Group workshops on challenges
●Scholarships are available for students under certain criteria.
7.Work Plan Item:
a.Mayors awards 12-4-24
b.White Cane -Event went well.15 people or so.Drivers were fairly tolerant.
Deemed successful.

8.ASL Class:Update
Aysia is waiting to hear back from Samantha.
10.Events/Publicity Discussion
-Merch to hand out.
12.Next meeting is November 14th at 12N,hybrid format.December 12th at 12N,
hybrid format.
