The Brookings Airport Board was called to order by Brady Klocker on Thursday,
November 21, 2024 at 3:30 PM in Conference Room #241, Second Floor. Members
present were Dan Krogstad, Lynn Riedesel, Brian VanLiere, Isaac Wilde, and Klocker.
Also present were Airport Manager Lucas Dahl, Maintenance Technician Brett
Torgrucle, SDSU Devin Bastemeyer, Chris Funk and FBO-Randy Hansen and Paul
Hanusa.
Item #1 - Roll Call
Item #2 - (Riedesel/VanLiere) Motion to approve the agenda. All present voted aye.
MOTION CARRIED.
Item #3 - (Klocker/VanLiere) Motion to approve the October 17, 2024 Minutes and
October 25, 2024 Minutes. All present voted aye. MOTION CARRIED.
Item #4 - Hangar Lease Renewals -
• Turbo Arrow LLC, Hangar # 109
• Darryl Clapp, Hangar # 107
• Robert Fite, Hangar # 105
• Brian VanLiere, Hangar # 123
• Madison Aircraft LLC & Dakota Jet Company, Hangar #209
(Riedesel/ Wilde) Motion to approve the hangar lease renewals. All present voted
aye. MOTION CARRIED.
Item #5 - Terminal Lease Agr
eement with Civil Air Patrol - _(Krogstad/ Riedesel)
Motion to approve a Terminal Lease Agreement with Civil Air Patrol for 5 years. All
present voted aye. MOTION CARRIED.
Item #6 - Airport Manager's Report - Dahl reported on city council approval of FBO
sale and the hangar of Pheasants Fury. Gave update on the parallel taxiway
project. Beacon is now up and running and the big windsock is out along with the
RWY 30 windsock. The ramp light that is out is scheduled to be replaced on
Wednesday. Snow removal will be the same as last year, if you need in or out of the
airport please let us know. Hay lease update, no second payment yet but all the
bales and equipment are out of the airport.
Item #7 - SDSU Report - Women in Aviation had fundraiser chili cookoff, waiting on
another new airplane.
Item #8 - FBO Report - Closing date is scheduled for Dec 2, 2024
