The Brookings Airport Board was called to order by Brady Klocker on Friday, October
25, 2024 at 9:00 AM in conference Room #241, Second Floor. Members present were
Dan Krogstad, Lynn Riedesel, Isaac Wilde, and Klocker. Absent was Brian VanLiere.
Also present were City Engineer Charlie Richter, Airport Manager Lucas Dahl,
Maintenance Technician Brett Torgrude, and FBO-Randy Hansen.
Item #1 - Roll Call
Item #2 - (Krogstad/Riedesel) Motion to approve the agenda. All present voted aye.
MOTION CARRIED.
Item #3 - Approval of Fixed Base Operator Agreement with Pheasants Fury Aviation
LLC.
(Riedesel/Wilde) Motion to approve and recommend to City Council to revoke the
current FBO Agreement with Pheasants Fury Aviation LLC/Randy Hanson and enter
into a new FBO Agreement with Pheasants Fury Aviation LLC/Joseph Johnson. All
present voted aye. MOTION CARRIED.
Item #4 - Approval of Hangar Lease Amendment, Hangar Site #133, Pheasants Fury
Aviation LLC.
(Wild e/Riedesel) Motion to approve and recommend to City Council to revoke the
current hangar lease agreement with Pheasants Fury Aviation LLC/Randy Hanson
and enter into a new hangar lease agreement with Pheasants Fury Aviation LLC
/Joseph Johnson. All present voted aye. MOTION CARRIED.
Item #5 - Other Items & Reports - Dahl provided updates on the Parallel Taxiway
Project. The construction company was struggling with meeting some compaction
numbers but brought in different equipment to resolve this issue.
The haying has been started but is not finished. The haying is resulting in .a significant
amount of hawks around the airfield.
