Economic Outlook
•Cautiously Optimistic
‣Key Considerations
‣Steady but modest GDP growth at 3.2% in 2024 and projected at 3.3% in 2025 –stable, but
still below pre-pandemic levels
‣Inflation continues in the services sector
‣Commodity price uncertainty
‣Consumer spending and labor market continue to be strong
‣Stabilization in Federal Reserve interest rates
‣A “soft landing” is still the focus of economic policy, through measures to control
inflation while maintaining consumer spending.
‣Over the past three months, Midwest Consumer Price Index (CPI) has been in
equal to or slightly ahead of National CPI after continually trending lower than
National since 2022.
Thank you for your time and attention!
