2.Approval of Agenda
A motion to approve the agenda and minutes was made by Rachel,seconded by
Lynda.The motion carried by the following votes:

4.Budget Update
-No updates.
-$18 spent on stickers for the listening session from the allocated funds.
-20 bags will be purchased from Clean Slate $12 ea.

6.Work Plan Item:Proclamation -Global Accessibility Awareness Day
A made a motion to approve the proclamation for Global Accessibility Awareness in
May was by Mark,seconded by Rachel.The motion carried by the following votes:
-Yes:Matt,Rachel,Aysia,Mark,Lynda,Ramona,Ali,Jon

7.Listening Session Update
Scheduled for April 29th.
Aysia,Katie and Lynda will be attending.

8.BATA Token Discussion:Update
●Mark has spoken with BATA.When people book their ride or get on their ride
people say an approved (yet to be determined)phrase to the driver.The rides will
be available for committee sponsored events.
●Mark and Travis (BATA)will draft a guideline.Allocated funds toward the BATA
will be discussed at monthly meetings.Jon suggested inviting Travis to one of the
next BDAC meetings.
●BATA is aware of the accessibility issues for people with visual impairments.
9.ASL Class:Update
●People continue to not respond to Aysia’s multiple inquiries.
10.Events/Publicity Discussion (Social Media Campaign)
●Listening session has been priority.
11.Mayor ’s Awards -Existing and Potential New Categories
●ABLE Award -Business or entity that is providing access in a positive way.
●Empower Award -Businesses that employ individuals with disabilities and help
empower that individual.Ramona will reach out to Career Advantage.
●Jon suggested having a category for an advocate in the community.Outstanding
individual bringing awareness to disabilities in the community.The committee
agreed this would be beneficial to consider.A few individuals were discussed.
12.Next meeting is May 23rd at 12:00PM,hybrid format.
