The Brookings Airport Board was called to order by Brady Klocker on Thursday, July 18,
2024 at 3:30 PM in Conference Room #241, Second Floor. Members present were
Dan Krogstad, Lynn Riedesel, Isaac Wilde, Brian VanLiere, and Klocker. Absent was
Charlie Richter City Engineer. Also present were Airport Manager Lucas Dahl and
FBO Paul Hanusa.
Item #1 - Roll Call
Item #2 - (Krogstad /Wilde) Motion to approve the agenda. All present voted aye.
MOTION CARRIED.
Item #3 - (Riedesel/Krogstad) Motion to approve the June 20, 2024 minutes. Al
present voted aye. MOTION CARRIED.
Item #4 - Airport Parallel Taxiway Construction Project Update. Dahl gave update on
Parallel Taxiway Project, there were 3 bids with Bowes Construction came in with the
low bid. The construction will begin this fall and finished up in the spring of 2025.
Item #5 - Approval of Hangar Lease to Robert Fite - Site #127
(Klocker/Riedesel) Motion to approve the Hangar Lease Agreement. All present
voted aye. MOTION CARRIED.
Item #6 -Airport Manager's Report - Dahl reported that cameras have been
installed just waiting on IT to come finish installation. Gave update on construction of
the new hangar and hay lease. Dahl updated the Board on the FAA/DOT/Helms
meeting on Airport zoning/airspace, Airport Rate/Fee Analysis and Hangar Expansion
Area.
Item #7 - SDSU Report - AIM High 2nd Session is finishing up, Fly -In served about 500
people. Dream Camp tours for 7th and 8th Graders.
Item #8 - FBO Report - Fuel sales are about the same.
Item #9 - Other Items & Reports - None.
Item #10 - Next Scheduled Meeting - August 15, 2024.
