All present voted aye. MOTION CARRIED. Item #4 - Hangar Development/Taxiway Construction - Schmidt presented a design for potential hangar taxiway construction. This construction is being discussed due to the potential of a new hangar being built. Because of the current construction projects, in progress, funding from the FAA for this project could be difficult. If the FAA cannot come up with any discretionary monies, we could utilize other federal bill money that is available as some of this needs to be used within the next year. Helms is waiting to get an answer from the FAA on funding. Helms also suggests requesting funds for the design of the hangar taxiway extension in 2024. If funds become available, we could possibly bid the hangar taxiway extension for 2025 construction. Construction of the Parallel Taxiway will not happen until 2025 due to the timing of the grant funds. Some dirt work will need to be done yet this year. Bidding for this project could happen early 2025 to allow construction to begin in the Spring and be complete by September. They anticipate having to shut down the runways, but not at the same time and there will be plenty of notification given.
