The Brookings Airport Board was called to order by Brady Klocker on Thursday,
February 15, 2024 at 3:30 PM in Conference Room # 147, First Floor. Members present
were Dan Krogstad, Lynn Riedesel, Brian VanLiere, Isaac Wilde, and Klocker. Also
present were Airport Manager Lucas Dahl, and Maintenance Technician Brett
Torgrude.
Item #1 - Roll Call
Item #2 - (Krogstad/VanLiere) Motion to approve the agenda. All present voted aye.
MOTION CARRIED.
Item #3 - (Klocker/Riedesel) Motion to approve the January 18, 2024 minutes. All
present voted aye. MOTION CARRIED.
Item #4 - Airport Manager's Report - Dahl reported that next week Tuesday there will
be a meeting with Helm's to review plans for the Parallel Taxiway Project. Grant
funds have not yet been approved but they will still plan to go to bid this spring for
the project. Dahl stated that someone has been tracking mud onto the airfield so he
would like everyone to be aware of this problem so it can be stopped.
There is potential of a hangar being built for rental space. A 60' x 200' hangar is
being proposed with offices in the upstairs. The location of the hangar will allow him
street access.
Wilde inquired about the west gate not working. Dahl stated that American Fence
has been called to look at it. He thinks it is the card reader that is the problem.
