Resolution Designating Boundaries for Business Improvement District #I
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Brookings, South Dakota considers it appropriate that
a plan be developed for the improvement of public facilities and activities in certain areas of the
municipality, and
Whereas, one method of providing for the plan is the creation of a Business Improvement
District, and
Whereas, the boundaries of a proposed Business Improvement District must be established
before a district can be created, and
Whereas, the method of raising revenue shall be fair and equitable,
Now, Therefore, Be k Resolved by the City Council of the City of Brookings, South Dakota
that:
I. The boundaries of a proposed Business Improvement District #I are hereby
established as non - contiguous properties to include all hotels /motels with 25 or
more rooms situated within the corporate limits of the city of Brookings.
