The new rate will now be 14 cents per square foot. The last increase was in 2017. Thompson explained that the City is considering tying the lease rate to a fee schedule, currently the rate is set to increase by 2% each year. Klocker would like to keep the lease rates attached to the lease and not the fee schedule. Thompson explained that the change will then need to be updated to reflect the lease rate for the 25 years. (Riedesel/Klocker) Motion to leave the lease rate attached to the lease and not the City fee schedule. All present voted aye. MOTION CARRIED. Richter inquired about the insurance requirements in the lease. Currently it states that the insurance is referenced in the Minimum Requirements within the Rules and Regulations for the Airport. Richter stated that the City will inquire with the city insurance company as to what may need to be required. Item #6 - Hangar Lease Renewal - M&C Partners, Robert Fite and Steve Pofahl all have leases that will need to be renewed this year. M&C Partners will need to go to City Council (12/20) for approval. Richter suggested we wait until the December meeting to take action on the lease renewals. The City is inquiring about the insurance requirements and should have the lease revised before going to City Council. Lease renewals will be complete and sent out after the decisions have been made on the insurance requirements. Item #7 - Airport Managers Report - Dahl reported that the hay land lease was extended for another year with the current operator, MC Hay. Due to staff shortage, snow removal may take a little more time until an additional employee is hired.
