Call to Order and Verbal Roll Call Members present: Julia Eberhart, Emily Howell, Jean Jostad, Jamison Lamp, Kate Treiber, Taylor McKeown. Others present: Ashley Ragsdale, Dusty Rodiek. 2. Approval of Agenda Motion by Jean Jostad to approve agenda as distributed. Seconded by Kate Treiber. Approved unanimously. 3. Approval of Minutes Motion by Jean Jostad to approve 10/21/2021 minutes as submitted. Seconded by Julia Eberhart. Approved unanimously. 4. Old Business: A. Poet Laureate Poetry Walk – Taylor McKeown reported that Visit Brookings approved funding for the remainder of the project. Matthew Weiss of DesignArc asked for clarification on credit lines for the panels. Motion by Jean Jostad to approve consistent credit lines for BPAC, SDSPS, and Visit Brookings with no logos. Seconded by Emily Howell. Approved unanimously. B. Conditions/Maintenance Report and Recommendations Update - Taylor McKeown reported that a new set of condition reports will be completed this spring for pieces in the BPAC permanent collection. Dusty Rodiek reported that landscaping surrounding Sanctuary in Larson Park will receive maintenance this summer. C. Bob Shelden Capital Improvement Project – Arts Opportunity Update Taylor McKeown reported that Jeffrey Reed & Jennifer Madden are scheduled to install the sculpture this spring, ahead of the May 31 deadline. D. Other Projects or Opportunities: 1. City/County Building Collection: The Commission discussed the possibility of expanding the collection in the City/County Building. 5. New Business: A. Upcoming Public Art Opportunities Taylor McKeown reported on possible locations for future public art capital projects and direct installations. The Commission discussed the need for an arts opportunity map to guide projects further into the future. 6. Correspondence/Announcements/Calendar A. Next Meeting: April 7, 2022 at Noon 7.
