1. The meeting was called to order at 12:02 pm
2. Approval of Agenda and Mintues:
a. A motion was made by Stauff to approve the agenda, seconded by Platte. The motion
carried by the following votes: Yes: Weiss, Grendler, Sternhagen, Holm, Collazo, Platte, Jung,
and Stauff No:
b. A motion was made by Grendler to approve last month’s minutes, seconded by Sternhagen.
The motion carried by the following votes: Yes: Weiss, Grendler, Sternhagen, Holm, Collazo,
Platte, Jung, and Stauff No:
3. Election:
a. Grendler made a motion to open nominations, Collazo seconded. The motion carried by the
following votes: Yes: Weiss, Grendler, Sternhagen, Holm, Collazo, Platte, Jung, and Stauff
No:
i. Chair: Sternhagen nominated Stauff, Weiss nominated himself. Stauff withdrew his
nomination. Motion to close nominations made by Platte and seconded by Collazo.
The motion carried by the following votes: Yes: Weiss, Grendler, Sternhagen, Holm,
Collazo, Platte, Jung, and Stauff No:
Weiss was elected chair by the following votes Yes: Weiss, Grendler, Sternhagen,
Holm, Collazo, Platte, Jung, and Stauff No:
ii. Vice Chair: Platte made a motion to open nominates for Vice Chair, Grendler
seconded Yes: Weiss, Grendler, Sternhagen, Holm, Collazo, Platte, Jung, and Stauff
No:
Platte nominated Stauff, Collazo seconded nomination. No further nominations,
called for a vote Yes: Weiss, Grendler, Sternhagen, Holm, Collazo, Platte, Jung, and
Stauff No:
iii. Recorder Platte made a motion to open nominations for recorder, Grendler
seconded.
Sternhagen nominated Platte, no further nominations a vote was called and passed
by the following votes Yes: Weiss, Grendler, Sternhagen, Holm, Collazo, Platte, Jung,
and Stauff No:
iv. Public Relations Coordinator: Stauff nominated Sternhagen, Jung seconded, no
further nominations, no further discussion. A vote was called and passed by the
following votes Yes: Weiss, Grendler, Sternhagen, Holm, Collazo, Platte, Jung, and
Stauff No:
4. Officer Updates:
a. Chair
i. White Cane Event was a success, next time should plan for 2 months, 16 people in
attendance, good news coverage
b. Vice Chair
i. No report

i. Found the missing notes from July, will submit
d. Publicity coordinator
i. No report
e. County ADA coordinator
i. No report
f. City ADA coordinator
i. Requesting pictures from White Cane Event
ii. Mayor’s Christmas Party December 2nd, need a short paragraph about the reciepiant
of Empower Award and a picture, Platte will be lead on this. Who can go Weisss,
Platte, Holm, Jung, Stauff, Collazo
g. SDSU Liaison
i. No report
ii. We do need reach out to Alyssa, Grendler will take lead
5. Public Promotions:
a. Nothing new at this time, need to be thinking of things we would like to promote in the
upcoming months
6. Committee/Taskforce Updates:
a. Marketing Sub-committee
i. Christmas ornaments—looking to see if there is business would be willing to have at
POS to give out for free
ii. Day of Giving—cannot recommended certain charities to give to
iii. Platte and Stauff will work on a list of charities in the community that we can
partner will or promote their events.
b. Accessibility Taskforce
