1. The meeting was called to order at 12:01
a. Doran amend the agenda to add Board Member Applications and Officer Elections,
2. Approval of Agenda:
a. A motion to approve the agenda was made by Jung, seconded by Stauff. The motion carried
by the following votes: Yes Weiss, Doran, Grendler, Sternhagen, Holm, Jung, Stauff, Platte

3. Approval of Minutes:
a. No minutes from July provided—Jenny will have to look for the notes
4. Officer Updates:
a. Chair- no report
b. Vice Chair-no report
c. Recorder-no report
d. Publicity coordinator -no report
e. County ADA coordinator – no report
f. City ADA coordinator- Bags to be distributed to partners are still here, Rachel did 4-5, sat in
on the listening session done by the Human’s Right Committee,
i. Takeaways:
1. Everyone loves BATA—struggles with no weekends
2. Main street stores many isles not wide enough
3. Some eating establishments have steps.
4. Disorders that are not visible, sometime people are talked downtown
5. Community is welcoming
6. Mixed reviews on simulation training
g. SDSU: vacant
5. Public Promotions:
a. ADA—Council meeting went well, nice article in the paper, radio promoted
b. Awards-no nominations have come in so far, will have a special meeting to discuss, Thursday
26 at noon, over zoom
c. Partner Bags-9 bags left
6. New Business
a. Name Tags
i. Names need to be larger
ii. Attach a light to make it easier to read
iii. Black and white contrast
iv. Just use first name
A motion to spend $25 for card stock and name tags was made by Jung, seconded by Grendler. The
motion carried by the following votes: Yes: Weiss, Doran, Grendler, Sternhagen, Holm, Jung, Stauff,
Platte, No:
b. Vacant Opening on the Board. Weiss made a motion to accept Ismael Collazo , Stauff
seconded. The motion carried by the following votes: Yes: Weiss, Doran, Grendler,
Sternhagen, Holm, Jung, Stauff, Platte, No:
c. Destini Crevier has resigned, therefore an opening, will promote the opening
i. Concerns brought up about where and how the openings
ii. City website is could be improved for accessibility for screen readers.
7. Committee/Taskforce Updates:
a. Marketing Sub-committee—no report
b. Accessibility Taskforce—no report
8. Other Items:
a. Discussion about opening elects for officer, -tabled until next month due to not poor
connection on zoom.
b. Date and time of fall meetings, decided on Thursdays at noon. Susan will look at availability
of space at city/county building.
9. Announcement:
a. can the committee look to recognize and outstanding disability community member either
in workforce or not, finding a way to expand who we recognize? Will explore further.
