1. The meeting was called to order at 12:02
2. Approval of Agenda:
a. A motion was made to approve the agenda and last month’s mintues by Sternhagen,
seconded by Holm. The motion carried by the following votes: Yes Weiss, Doran, Grendler,
Sternhagen, Holm, Jung, Stauff and Platte No:

a. Chair
i. Human’s Rights Committee is hosting a listening session August 2 or 3rd

i. Application for the new member will not be reviewed this month due to a special
session
ii. Mayor Awards October 7, 5:30 to 7:30 at Swiftel,

i. ADA Day
1. Bags prepped for the partners-there will be a doodle poll to get them
delivered
2. Article in the register last week
3. Mayor’s Proclamation—Sternhagen, Doran and Platte in attendance
4. Sternhagen spoke on radio
ii. Ice Cream Social
1. Went well, served all the ice cream, maybe have 10 next year
2. Flyers were in the programs, Platte volunteered to help update the flyers

1. Sternhagen made a motion to give out the awards on October 7 as part of
the mayor celebration, Platte seconded. The motion carried by the following
votes: Yes Weiss, Doran, Grendler, Sternhagen, Holm, Jung, Stauff and

Discussion: nominations are open until end of next week. Need to have an
decision on recipient by Friday August 20

1. An event is promoted by the Chamber, we can have an information table

a. Marketing Sub-committee
i. Nametags-Sternhagen will have a sample next meeting
b. Accessibility Taskforce

a. Board Member Applications—The city is looking at ways to improve accessibility to the
board applications.
b. Next meeting Date and Format—August 23rd at noon
