A Resolution Designating Fishback Soccer Complex as a Permissible
Consumer Fireworks Discharge Location on July, 4 2021
Whereas, pursuant to City Ordinance Section 34-123(b) discharge of consumer
fireworks is prohibited within the limits of the City of Brookings; and
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Brookings has considered the issue as
recommended and agrees that making the recommended accommodation is
appropriate.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Brookings,
South Dakota, as follows, Fishback Soccer Complex shall be designated as a
location at which fireworks may be discharged on July 4, 2021 from 12:00 pm
until 11:00 pm. This resolution does not relieve any person from complying with
all other applicable ordinances, regulations, and laws related to the discharge
and use of fireworks including, but not limited to, those that require licensing and
permitting for the use of certain types of fireworks.
Passed and approved on the 8t" day of June, 2021.
