MEETING MINUTES
The Board of Trustees of the Brookings Public Library did not meet due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Communicated through
email for monthly approvals.
BOARD MEMBERS: Sarah Meusburger, Doug O’Neill, Deb Waltman, Kathy Miller, Michael Linehan
OTHERS: Ashia Gustafson, Jen Anderson
1. Approval of Minutes
Ashia Gustafson called for approval of the minutes from the March 12, 2020 meeting. Sarah Meusburger moved to approve the
meeting minutes. Deb Waltman seconded. Approval through email.
2. New Business
2.1 Approval of Bills
The Library Board members discussed the March 2020 bills, budgets and expenditures. Sarah Meusburger moved to approve
the March 2020 bills. Deb Waltman seconded. Approval through email.
3. Other Items & Reports
3.1 Librarian’s Report
Ashia Gustafson informed the Library Board members about departments being asked to look for possible cuts to their budgets
with a projected 30% decrease in revenues. Library staff have been informed to cut their budgets by 30% and we will also
suspend any purchasing of furniture until we have a better handle on the numbers.
